Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Enters Summer-Autumn 2025 Season with Expanded International Routes


CAAC will implement its Summer-Autumn flight schedule from March 30 to October 25, 2025. Multiple airlines are enhancing their international networks and expanding capacity during the new season.


 China Southern Airlines Group  plans to operate over 200 international and regional routes, covering 47 countries and regions across Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and Africa. 


New routes include Guangzhou to Nagoya, Guangzhou to Surabaya, and Shenzhen to Osaka. Additionally, flight frequencies from Guangzhou to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Kuala Lumpur, Vientiane, and Dhaka will be increased.


 China Eastern Airlines  will open new routes from Shanghai Pudong to Abu Dhabi in April and Geneva in June. It will also increase flights to international destinations such as Toronto, Moscow, Amsterdam, and Riyadh. Fast-track services from Shanghai to Tokyo, Bangkok, Osaka, and Seoul will see varying frequency boosts, with two additional daily round trips added on the Shanghai-Bangkok and Shanghai-Osaka routes.


 Air China  will expand its network by increasing frequencies on over 10 routes, including Beijing to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Shanghai to Hanoi, and routes from Chongqing and Chengdu to Tokyo. 


New routes include Beijing to Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Toronto, and Cairo. The airline will also resume the Chengdu to Paris route, with total flight frequencies up by 13% year-on-year.

Cambodia Airways Expand GBA Connections


Cambodia Airways launched a Phnom Penh–Hong Kong route on April 1, operating three times weekly. Cambodia Angkor Air will open a Phnom Penh–Shenzhen direct flight starting July 10 and plans to resume services to Macau during the Summer-Autumn season.

Xiamen Air Launches Fuzhou–Hanoi Route


On March 30, Xiamen Air officially launched its direct flight from Fuzhou to Hanoi, operating four times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). Departures from Fuzhou are at 8:25 AM, arriving in Hanoi at 10:10 AM. The return leg leaves Hanoi at 11:10 AM and lands in Fuzhou at 2:45 PM (local time). Xiamen Air will also add a new direct Fuzhou–Nagoya route (MF8729/30) on April 1, flying every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Indonesia's TransNusa to Open Guangzhou–Bali Route


Indonesia's TransNusa will inaugurate its direct Guangzhou–Bali route on April 14. The new "sky express" route between China and Indonesia will operate four times per week—Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday—using Airbus A320 aircraft, with each leg taking approximately five hours.

Harbin–Yekaterinburg Route Resumes


The Harbin–Yekaterinburg direct flight resumes on March 31 with two weekly flights (Monday and Thursday). On Sundays, flights depart Yekaterinburg at 10:10 PM and arrive in Harbin at 5:05 AM Monday. The return flight departs Harbin at 5:55 AM and arrives in Yekaterinburg at 11:25 AM. On Wednesdays, departures are at 6:20 PM and arrive the next day at 1:10 AM, with return flights at 2:10 AM arriving in Yekaterinburg at 7:35 AM.

Luang Prabang Opens First China Route


On April 1, Luang Prabang launched its first direct route to China. China Eastern Airlines successfully completed the first Kunming–Luang Prabang flight and will operate this route three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).
