WeChat has rolled out two new features in its latest update: Auto-Translation and Bulk Selection, enhancing user convenience in messaging and content sharing.
Auto-Translation
Users can now enable automatic translation for incoming messages, eliminating the need to translate each message manually. To activate this feature, go to Me > Settings > General > Translation and check Auto-Translate Messages Received in Chats.
WeChat's translation function currently supports 18 languages, including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong), English, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish, Korean, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Turkish, German, and French.
Bulk Selection
Forwarding multiple messages is now easier than ever. Instead of selecting messages one by one, users can long-press a message in a chat, tap "Select Multiple," scroll to the desired endpoint, and tap "Select to Here" to quickly batch-select messages for forwarding or saving.
