Haikun Zhu

Assistant Professor of Finance, CEIBS

Dr. Haikun Zhu is Assistant Professor of Finance at CEIBS. Prior to joining CEIBS, he was an Assistant Professor in Finance at Erasmus School of Economics in the Netherlands. Dr. Zhu received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Finance from Tilburg University and B.A. in Economics from Nankai University.


Dr. Zhu's research interests concentrate on FinTech, the political economy of finance, behavioral corporate finance, etc. Two of his papers have been/will be published in FT Top 50 Journals i.e. Journal of Financial Economics and Management Science (forthcoming).


He was awarded the SFS Cavalcade Asia-Pacific Best Paper Award in 2017, International Workshop on Financial System Architecture and Stability (IWFSAS) Best Paper Award in 2018, Finance Down Under Best Paper Award in 2018, and Erasmus School of Economics Top Researcher in 2022.


Dr. Zhu's teaching has been very well received by students. He has previously taught behavioral finance and FinTech at different levels. He also serves as a reviewer of different journals, including Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Business Ethics.



Byron Lee

Associate Professor of Management, CEIBS

Dr. Byron Y. Lee is Associate Professor of Management at CEIBS. He received his PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from University of Toronto. Prior to joining CEIBS, he was on the faculty in the School of Business at Renmin University of China and also served as the International MBA Academic Director at this school.


Dr. Lee's main research interests focus on compensation, strategic human resource management, and industrial relations. His publications have appeared in in the Canadian Journal of Economics, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, International Journal of Manpower, Journal of Labor Research and Contemporary Economic Research.


He has received the Emerging Scholar Award in Employee Participation and Ownership from the Academy of Management. Dr. Lee has been recognized with the 2021 CEIBS Teaching Excellence Award for his excellence in teaching.
