On March 8, at the Zhuhai Jiuzhou Port immigration hall, Leslie John, an Australian who has lived in China for 15 years, arrived with his friend. Speaking fluent Mandarin, he excitedly told the immigration officers, "I've always told him China is amazing, but he didn't believe me. So, I brought him here to see for himself."

When asked whether he liked China, Leslie replied with a smile, "Not just like—we love China."

Leslie, known by his Chinese name Wei Li Shi (尉礼士), has spent more than a decade immersing himself in Chinese culture. He speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese, writes Chinese characters, and has built a life deeply connected to the country.

Determined to challenge the skepticism of his old neighbor from back home, Leslie decided to turn words into action. Instead of just telling stories about China, he invited him to experience it firsthand.

After the video was shared online, Chinese netizens warmly responded with comments such as, "Seeing is believing—welcome to China!"

In recent years, China has steadily expanded its visa-free travel policies and introduced measures to make visits easier for international travelers. With relaxed entry requirements and streamlined processes, more and more people can now embark on a "see-it-for-yourself" journey to explore China.

For Leslie's neighbors, their trip is just beginning. For many others around the world, the opportunity to experience China firsthand has never been more accessible.
