Customs officers at the Nansha Customs, which oversees the Nansha Passenger Port, discovered irregularities in the luggage scans of two travelers who had chosen the "Nothing to Declare" channel. Upon further inspection, officers found bundles of euro cash in both travelers' suitcases. A total of €77,000, equivalent to approximately 580,000 RMB, was seized, with one traveler carrying €49,000 and the other €28,000.
Customs reminds travelers that, under relevant laws and regulations, currency in cash is subject to restrictions on import and export. Travelers must comply with national regulations and cooperate with customs inspections. Any traveler bringing foreign currency exceeding the equivalent of 5,000 USD into the country must declare it truthfully and use the "Declaration Channel."
