Two recent cases highlight China's crackdown on illegal immigration and employment, with foreigners detained for forged documents and illegal work. According to the National Immigration Administration, two foreign nationals were recently detained by immigration officers at the Baiyun Border Inspection Station in Guangzhou for using forged documents. The individuals were prohibited from entering the country in accordance with China's Exit and Entry Administration Law.
In a separate case, China News Service reported that a police station in Yunnan uncovered an illegal employment case. During a routine inspection at a foot massage parlor, officers discovered a foreign woman working without a valid work permit. The parlor's owner, aware that the woman lacked legal work authorization, continued to employ her, which constitutes illegal hiring of foreigners. The investigation is ongoing.
