13 Foreign Tourists Safely Return After Xizang EarthQuake

 On January 7, at 9:05 AM, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County in Shigatse, Xizang. Following the disaster, a press conference on earthquake relief efforts was held on January 8 in Shigatse.

  According to the update provided at the conference, a total of 484 tourists, including both group and independent travelers, were in the affected area. Among them were 13 foreign tourists—8 from Indonesia, 4 from Australia, and 1 from Nepal. All of them were safely returned to Shigatse city by 12:00 PM on January 7, with no tourists left stranded.
