12306 Launches Pre-fill Service : Get Your Tickets in Seconds

  On December 30, 2024, Railway 12306 (including its website and mobile app) further optimized its ticket booking pre-fill service. 

  From December 30, 2024, to February 8, 2025, the service will be available for long-distance train tickets departing from stations in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province, and Guangdong Province to stations in Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality. This new feature, which will be piloted on these routes, allows for the automatic submission of ticket orders by the system.

  Passengers can pre-fill their booking information and make advance payment. Railway 12306 will automatically submit the orders based on the preferences set by the passenger, making the ticket purchasing process more convenient.
  A new "Ticket Information Pre-fill Optimization Pilot" section has been added for Railway 12306 users. Passengers can pre-fill their ticket orders for any date during the 2025 Spring Festival travel period (January 14 to February 22, 2025). Each order allows the selection of one travel date and up to 60 train schedules. Each user can have up to six pending orders at a time, with a maximum of nine passengers per order.
  • Sixteen days before departure, Railway 12306 will send a notification to remind users to adjust the priority of their preferred trains, confirm booking details, and decide whether to make an advance payment. The advance payment will be equal to the highest ticket price in the order.
  • When ticket sales begin 15 days before departure, Railway 12306 will automatically submit orders for users who have made an advance payment, according to their set priorities. Orders submitted through other methods will join the queue based on their submission time.
  • If the ticket price is lower than the advance payment, the difference will be refunded automatically. In the event of a failed booking, a full refund will be issued without any additional charges. If no advance payment is made, users can follow the existing process to manually submit their orders and complete payment when ticket sales open.
  With the launch of the "Ticket Information Pre-fill Optimization Pilot" section, users will have a wider time range to pre-fill their booking details. The automatic submission of orders eliminates the need to monitor ticket sales times, enhancing the overall booking experience.
