Starting from January 14, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, has launched an online declaration system for inbound travelers.
According to the Ningbo Airport Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station, from January 14, the self-service terminal for foreign travelers to fill in the inbound registration card has been fully implemented at Ningbo Airport, making it the second open port in the province to adopt this measure after Hangzhou. This marks the official transition to an online declaration system for foreign nationals entering Ningbo.
"I filled out the information before my flight, and once I arrived in Ningbo, I simply scanned the QR code to get my entry card," said Li Wei, an Austrian traveler. "Previously, I had to fill out the card by hand, which could lead to mistakes. Now, I just scan the QR code, and in 15 seconds, it prints out. It's so convenient." The self-service terminal for foreign entry registration offers an online declaration service, supporting multiple methods such as QR codes and mini-programs, and is available in six languages: English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, and Spanish. Travelers can complete the registration using their smartphones. For those who have not completed the online declaration, they can do so upon arrival at the inspection hall and print the entry card at the terminal. This enables "on-site inspection upon arrival" for foreign travelers. The introduction of the self-service terminal will further streamline the entry declaration process for foreigners, reduce waiting times, and significantly improve the efficiency of border inspection procedures. It will also make it easier for foreign visitors to come to Ningbo for tourism, business, or family visits.
