Record-Breaking : Entries/Exits Data Released by Border Controls

  On December 6, the border control stations in Beijing and Shanghai released data on foreign entries and exits.

Beijing

  On December 6, the Beijing Border Control Station at Daxing Airport announced data on foreign entries and exits. As of 12:00 PM on December 5, the total number of foreign entries and exits at Daxing Airport this year surpassed one million, setting a new record for the airport.
  Currently, Daxing Airport offers 43 international and regional flight routes, covering 25 countries and regions in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
  Throughout the winter-spring travel season, the airport plans to gradually increase flights to cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Vientiane, and Casablanca, and aims to open new routes to Africa and North America. Additionally, there will be more frequent flights to the Middle East and Russia, further expanding its international network.
Shanghai
  On December 6, the Shanghai Border Control Station reported that from January to November this year, the number of foreign entries at Shanghai ports reached over 4 million, doubling the figure from the same period last year. The number of visa-exempt foreign entrants was 1.377 million, while the number of foreign travelers taking advantage of the 24/144-hour visa-free transit policy reached 245,000, marking increases of 4.8 times and 2.8 times, respectively, compared to last year.
  Among the visa-exempt countries, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Germany, and France were the top five sources of foreign travelers to Shanghai, accounting for 19.8%, 16.3%, 16.2%, 12.6%, and 7.4%, respectively, of the total number of visa-exempt entrants.
  At Pudong International Airport, from January to November, the total number of passengers passing through the airport exceeded 27.8 million, the highest among all airports in China. The number of foreign entries and exits at Pudong reached over 6.9 million, a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
