Festive Lights
Those that forego four wheels and make it down to the river on foot will be rewarded with a visual feast of festive lights.
Between 6pm and 12.15am on December 31 and 6pm and 11pm on January 1, the banks of the Huangpu River will be lit up by waterfall lights, and there will be colorful lights on the Bund, North Bund, central Lujiazui, and along Suzhou Creek.
Extended Metro Hours
To meet increased demand, operating hours will be extended into the wee small hours of the morning on the following lines:
Metro Line 1
Metro Line 7
Metro Line 8
Metro Line 9
Metro Line 10
Metro Line 13
Metro Station Closures
On the flipside, to avoid overcrowding the following stations will be closed from 8pm:
East Nanjing Road Station on Lines 2 & 10
Yuyuan Garden Station on Line 14
Yuyuan Garden Station on Line 10, however, will operate as usual.
