On November 25, Xinjiang's first Immigration Affairs Service Center successfully handled its first international marriage registration.

On November 25, 34-year-old Chinese woman Yang Mingjiao and 38-year-old Korean man Kim successfully registered their marriage and obtained their marriage certificate at the Urumqi Immigration Affairs Service Center (Overseas Talent Service Center). This marks the first case of international marriage registration handled by the center.

According to sources, residents with a permanent household registration in Urumqi can choose either the city-level marriage registration office or the one in the High-tech Zone (New City District) for international marriage registrations. A dedicated window for international marriage services has been set up, and citizens with related needs can call 0991-6657987 for consultation. Through this service, applicants can complete material pre-screening, clarify required documentation, and obtain other relevant information.
The Urumqi Immigration Affairs Service Center (Overseas Talent Service Center) was officially inaugurated on October 21. It is the first immigration service center in Xinjiang. The center features a "one-stop" service area for handling various immigration-related tasks, including visa issuance, travel documents, and border crossing permits. It also launched a new model for foreign-related approvals, combining foreign work permits and residence permits into a single process, which reduces processing time from 35 to just 15 working days. Additionally, the center offers services such as foreign social security, housing fund management, and foreign driver's license conversion. It also provides consulting and assistance for foreign nationals on matters like children's education, health checks, and medical services.
