Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok
Fly to Bangkok, be welcomed by a local guide at the airport, take a private transfer to the hotel for check - in, and then relax to overcome jet lag.
Day 2: Bangkok City Discovery by Local Transport
On a full - day guided tour, see Bangkok's main sights using various public transports. The guide will take you by BTS or MRT to a river pier, then by shared water bus. Visit the Grand Palace after disembarking. Have Thai food at a local restaurant and then go to Wat Pho. End the day with a tuk - tuk ride to a flower market and return to the hotel by BTS or MRT.
Day 3: Bangkok Side Trip to Local Markets

Day 6: Sukhothai - Lampang - Chiang Mai
Leave Sukhothai for Chiang Mai , and visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang during the journey. Its chedi, murals and carvings are full of charm. When arriving in Chiang Mai, which was the historical center of the Lanna Kingdom from the 13th to 18th centuries, check into the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 7: Chiang Mai, Yi Peng Festival
First, visit the Warorot Market by the river where local treats are sold by vendors. Then, take a traditional Samlor (three - wheel rickshaw) through the Thapae Gate to Chiang Mai's Old City and explore Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh.
