According to a report by the Spanish media outlet El Confidencial, a young Spanish woman recently won a free trip to China for herself and a friend. Excited by the opportunity, she shared her application process, where she detailed the experience.

The woman, known online as Lacampis, explained that the trip was completely free of charge, with "not even a single euro coin in her pocket" required. "We're going to China to take part in free table tennis courses," she said in a video. "Everything is paid for by the program, and there are no special requirements."

Lacampis clarified that the scholarship program, which is offered by China, is open to everyone. It's not limited to professionals or those skilled in sports or the Chinese language, though such skills would be an added bonus. The goal of the initiative is to introduce foreigners to Chinese culture.
The program is part of a broader cultural exchange project, where participants will first begin their journey of discovering China in Spain. They will take intensive courses focusing on the "concept of China" and "traditional sports practices." "They'll teach us Chinese, and we'll be tested on referee knowledge and table tennis," Lacampis said. The scholarship covers all expenses, allowing participants to explore various aspects of Chinese culture, from its most popular foods to its sports. In exchange, participants are expected to take part in a sports management course centered around table tennis.
Lacampis noted that she learned about the opportunity from a friend who had previously taken part in the program. In addition to table tennis, their itinerary also includes archery and traditional dance classes. According to participants, these activities provide an opportunity for young people to not only learn new skills but also to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture from a broader perspective. "The focus of this course isn't just on learning Chinese; it's about promoting Chinese culture, traditional sports, and cuisine," Lacampis explained.
One of the requirements for securing the trip to China is completing the course. "Of course, they'll give us exams because, in the end, we have to pass the course and a series of tests as part of the program," the young woman added.
Lacampis encouraged others interested in the program to explore more about the courses, eligibility, and application process. "This is a great opportunity to learn about China's rich culture, history, and modern developments. By participating, you not only gain knowledge and skills but also have the chance to make friends from different countries, expand your international perspective, and foster cultural exchange and understanding between nations."
