On November 27, the National Immigration Administration announced that starting December 1, 2024, a new set of border inspection signs will be introduced at 311 ports across China, including water transport, aviation, railways, and highways.

The new signs, which will be installed at open ports of entry, include two main categories: primary signs and functional signs. The primary sign indicates the border inspection authority at the port and consists of the Chinese immigration management logo and the bilingual text "China Immigration Management." The logo was officially introduced on April 2, 2021.

The functional signs are designed to guide and inform passengers at the border inspection points. These include 70 distinct signs across six categories: 16 channel signs, 6 public area signs, 21 workplace and facility signs, 9 advisory signs, 9 warning signs, and 9 directional signs.

These new signs are aimed at improving clarity and efficiency at the country's major border entry points.
