New Cold Wave to Hit, Temperatures Plunge by Up to 12°C

  According to the National Meteorological Centre's report on November 21, a new cold wave is expected to hit China in the coming days. 

  From November 23 to 27, the country will experience significant cold air and strong winds, with temperatures dropping by 6-10°C in most regions. In some areas, temperatures are expected to plummet by more than 12°C. By November 28, the zero-degree Celsius line will likely shift southward to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

  From November 23 to 27, strong cold air will bring widespread gusty winds and a noticeable temperature drop across most of China. Winds of 4 to 6 levels, with gusts reaching 7 to 9 levels, are expected.
  In addition, light to moderate snow or sleet is forecast for parts of the northeast, eastern Northwest China, northern and western North China, and the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Some areas will experience heavy snow or blizzards, including parts of northern Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang.

  From the central and southern parts of North China to the Huang-Huai region and further south, light to moderate rain is expected, with some areas potentially seeing heavy rain or thunderstorms.

  Moreover, from November 22 to 23, snow or sleet will affect northern and southwestern Xinjiang, with heavy snow in parts of the northern Tianshan Mountains and local blizzards.
  Meteorological experts have warned that this cold wave will bring significant temperature drops, strong winds, and rain or snow to most parts of China. The public is advised to stay informed through local weather forecasts and warnings, adjust clothing accordingly, and exercise caution when traveling.
