The notice reads as follows:

Liu *wei, a 2-year-old male born on July 21, 2023, at Linquan County Hospital in Anhui Province, is currently being cared for by his father, Liu, a resident of the Chen Zhai administrative village in Liufu Town. Liu *wei's mother, a foreign woman referred to as "Xiaomei" (phonetic translation), was in a non-marital relationship with Liu, resulting in her pregnancy. Shortly after giving birth, Xiaomei left Liu *wei at Liu's home and has been missing since August 22, 2023.

The notice appeals to Xiaomei or any other legal guardians to reach out to the Liufu Police Station under the Shenqiu County Public Security Bureau. Furthermore, anyone with knowledge of Liu *wei's circumstances is requested to contact the authorities. Should the mother or a guardian remain unidentified after the notice period, the Public Security Bureau will proceed with the child's official registration in accordance with legal procedures.

Many netizens have speculated that this case may involve human trafficking, specifically the purchase and sale of women. Comments online suggest that "foreign wife", "non-marital relationship", and Xiaomei's sudden disappearance after giving birth raises suspicions about potential coercion or trafficking.
