We had a wonderful and relaxing time with our students at Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou!
In the morning, we gathered at the Silk Mandarin Shanghai Campus, where we were greeted by both new and old friends. After a brief round of introductions, we boarded the bus and set off together. The excitement was palpable, and everyone was eagerly looking forward to the day's adventure.
Before long, we arrived at the picturesque Yangcheng Lake. We began by cycling along the lakeshore for about an hour, taking in the breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscape while breathing in the fresh, crisp air.
At lunchtime, we enjoyed a delicious barbecue, and the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the famous Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs! These seasonal delicacies were a true treat, with their tender and sweet meat that simply couldn't be missed. Our teachers thoughtfully provided the tools for eating the crabs and gave us a hands-on lesson on how to crack them open. The sweet, succulent crab meat was absolutely mouthwatering, and everyone's taste buds were thoroughly satisfied, leaving us with unforgettable memories.
After lunch, we spent a leisurely and enjoyable afternoon at the lakeside campsite.
We kicked off the fun with an exciting and lively game of Chinese Truth or Dare. The dares were full of surprises, and one of the challenges was to randomly approach a Chinese person to practice speaking Chinese, which added an element of fun and language learning to the game.
Next, we learned to sing the classic Chinese song "Jasmine Flower." The gentle melody and lyrics allowed us to connect with the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.
To stay energized, we practiced the ancient exercise of Baduanjin, feeling its calming and soothing effects as we moved in harmony with nature.
Finally, we dove into the much-anticipated Mahjong session. The atmosphere was lively and full of laughter, and everyone had a fantastic time. It was a day filled with joy, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
We also made a video to
record the wonderful moments
