5 New Cultural Landmarks in Shanghai with Convenient Transportation

In recent years, Shanghai has added several new cultural landmarks. Following the opening of the Shanghai Museum East Pavilion and the Shanghai Library East Pavilion last year, Yao Xue Snow World, the Expo Cultural Park, and Changtan Concert Hall are scheduled to open this year. Where are these landmarks located, and how can you reach them? Is it possible to reach them all by public transportation? Here's a guide provided by the Shanghai Transportation Commission ↓

Shanghai Museum East Pavilion

The Shanghai Museum East Pavilion is located on Century Avenue in Pudong New Area. The building is rectangular in shape, with six floors above ground and two underground levels. Its façade undulates like white waves, symbolizing "embracing all rivers" and "standing at the forefront of the tide." Inside, there are 20 exhibition halls and interactive experience spaces, showcasing a comprehensive timeline of ancient Chinese art through unique design.

The East Pavilion aims to be a "world-class museum of ancient Chinese art," featuring the most complete collection of ancient Chinese art from both domestic and international sources. Additionally, it includes special exhibitions that highlight Jiangnan culture and Shanghai-style art, complemented by new interactive experience areas.

Nestled at the junction of two riverfront bays, the hall blends harmoniously with the surrounding water and landscape.
