Tencent to End File Helper Mini-Program on Oct 11

  On August 5, Tencent's File Helper announced that the File Helper mini-program and web page will cease operations on October 11, 2024.

  According to the announcement, due to business adjustments, the File Helper mini-program and web page will stop operating from October 11, 2024. Starting immediately, the file backup function of File Helper will be disabled. Users can continue to view and download previously backed-up files until October 11, 2024, but new files cannot be backed up. Tencent advises users to save their backed-up files promptly.

  The announcement also mentioned that affected premium users have access to a refund channel. Users can fill in their account information for refunds via the Sync Helper app by navigating to Files -> Shared Space -> Announcement -> Refund Channel. Tencent will process refunds after verifying the submitted information.

  According to the official introduction, the WeChat File Management Helper prevents files from expiring, improves the efficiency of multi-user file collection, and supports chat file backup, group assignment collection and sharing, and online PDF conversion.
