Shanghai Launches Five New Exit-Entry Facilitation Measures

  The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held from November 5 to 10 this year at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The Shanghai Public Security Bureau has launched five highlight measures in terms of convenient entry and exit services.

  1.Provide convenience for issuing multiple entry valid visas, making it easier for foreign exhibitors and businessmen to enter and participate in commercial activities.

  2.Provide convenience for visa free foreign exhibitors who have the need and meet the conditions to apply for relevant residence permits, so as to facilitate their continued business activities in China after the visa free stay period expires.

  3.Provide convenient high-frequency business services related to public security for foreign exhibitors who need to extend their visa stay and intend to work or start businesses in Shanghai. At the same time, focusing on the key needs of exhibiting companies, conducting "point-to-point" visits and promotions, and providing entry and exit service guarantees.

  4.Open more overseas personnel service stations at the National Exhibition Center and the 12367 Exit-Entry Service Import Expo Line to provide professional policy consultation services online and offline. Start a "one-stop" service for handling entry and exit documents and apply for extensions of stay for foreign exhibitors and businessmen. Accept, review and issue documents on-site. Handle replacement document applications from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan urgently.

  5.Relying on the Shanghai Port Visa Facilitation Collaboration Mechanism, overseas exhibitors confirmed to be invited will be provided with green channel services and will be able to apply for visas for entry at the port directly after landing. If there are overseas exhibitors who have not yet obtained visas, they can also apply to the visa authorities at the ports in advance by themselves or their inviting organizations, or apply on the spot with invitation letters and other relevant supporting documents upon arrival at the ports and have their applications processed on the spot.
