The Science and Technology Bureau of Rizhao City, Shandong Province, published the salary income calculation standards for 2024 foreigners who are applying for work permits in Rizhao on August 5.
In 2023, the average compensation for employed personnel in urban units across the province will be 88313 yuan. Effective from the date of issuance of this notice, Rizhao City has adjusted the calculation standard for foreign work permit income to 88313 yuan per year and 7359 yuan per month.
When foreign talents apply for work permits in China based on wage income, they meet the recognition criteria for foreign high-end talents (Category A) if their average wage income is not less than 6 times the average social wage income of the region in the previous year.
Foreign talents whose average wage income is not less than 4 times the average social wage income of the region in the previous year meet the recognition criteria for foreign professional talents (Category B). Shantou and Dongguan cities in Guangdong Province also implemented these standards in July.
