Latest Update on 144-Hour Visa-Free Policy! Effective from July 30
In a significant development, the National Immigration Administration has announced the implementation of visa-free policy for foreign tour groups from Hong Kong and Macau to Hainan, following approval from the State Council. This move aims to boost tourism and enhance international cooperation.
Effective immediately, citizens from countries with diplomatic ties to China, holding ordinary passports, can now enter Hainan without a visa for up to 144 hours if they travel in groups of two or more through legally registered travel agencies in Hong Kong or Macau. This policy aligns with existing visa exemption agreements between China and other countries, as well as other relevant Chinese visa-free policies.
The entry and exit points are limited to all open ports in Hainan Province, and tour groups must enter and exit as a whole. The permitted stay duration starts from midnight of the day following entry, with all activities confined to the administrative region of Hainan Province.
