On August 26th, a video circulated online claiming that "two foreigners attacked a Chinese person." In response, the Qixing Branch of the Guilin Public Security Bureau released a statement on the 27th, addressing the incident.
According to the local police report, the video was related to a situation involving foreign nationals that the Qixing Branch had handled. The incident occurred near Huifeng Village on Liuhe Road, where a verbal dispute between a foreign national and two other foreign nationals escalated into a physical altercation.
After a thorough investigation, the police conducted mediation between the involved parties in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Public Security Administration Punishment Law. The parties reached a mutual agreement and offered apologies to one another.
All individuals involved in the incident are foreign nationals. The authorities urge the public to view the situation objectively and rationally, refraining from spreading or believing in rumors.
