Laoqiao, a 60-year-old male from Beijing, currently resides in Pakistan. He claims to be married to a 26-year-old local woman.

A few days later, a girl named Sama and her father knocked on Laoqiao's door. Despite using a translation app for communication, Laoqiao was surprised when the father expressed his consent and granted him permission to marry his daughter.

Laoqiao, who is a divorcee, claims that he had been unmarried for over a decade at the time.
He informed the two that there must be a misunderstanding, as he was not in search of a wife. However, the father persisted and informed him that he could arrange the marriage on the same day.
The couple met in the morning and married in the evening. Laoqiao emphasises that he did not contribute to the bride's cost during the straightforward wedding ceremony that evening.
Laoqiao has reported that since he married Sama, his residence has regained a sense of belonging. Every day, Sama prepares a variety of dishes for him, including fried potatoes, poultry, and beef. Occasionally, Laoqiao would instruct Sama on how to prepare Chinese cuisine.
