Fire Breaks Out at Lujiazui Metro Station, Luckily No Casualties

In the early hours of August 25th, at approximately 3:00 AM, a fire unexpectedly broke out at Lujiazui Station on Shanghai's Metro Line 14. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.


Eyewitnesses described the sudden appearance of thick smoke filling the station. Station staff quickly attempted to extinguish the flames, but were unable to fully contain the blaze. Upon receiving the emergency call, the fire department dispatched several fire engines to the scene. The fire was swiftly brought under control.


As the fire occurred outside of regular operating hours, metro services were not disrupted, and there were no injuries. According to information provided by the fire department, the blaze was caused by a cable fire within the station. The exact cause of the fire is currently under further investigation.
