17 Foreigners Got Deported for These Reasons

As part of a summer crackdown on illegal and criminal activities, immigration police in Longling County, in the southwestern province of Yunnan in China, said they deported 17 foreigners caught between August 13 and 20.

It is believed that the foreigners entered the country illegally and may have resided or worked there.

On August 21, the police announced the return of the 17 individuals to their home country via Houqiao port in Tengchong and Jiegao port in Ruili.

The police said that the crackdown had greatly improved public safety in the area and set the stage for successfully stopping a number of crimes and public safety issues.

As the nationwide 100-day summer crackdown persists, an increasing number of individuals are facing fines, imprisonment, or other penalties.

The operation, which began in June, goes after all sorts of illegal and criminal actions across the whole country.
