This Language May Be Included in China's Exams

  Recently, China and Italy announced a 2024-2027 action plan on strengthening their comprehensive strategic partnership.

  In the field of education and academics, both countries agreed to continue enhancing exchanges and cooperation in education, higher education, universities, and arts and music education. They expressed satisfaction with the signing of the "Implementation Plan for Educational Cooperation (2024-2027)" between China's Ministry of Education and Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. 

  Both parties are willing to discuss the establishment of a regular consultation mechanism between Chinese and Italian education ministers. They support the organization of the first China-Italy University Presidents Forum in China and aim to strengthen cooperation in high-level talent training, joint education programs, and collaborative research between universities of both countries. They agreed to conduct regular consultations between Chinese and Italian education experts and to support the further expansion of student and scholar exchanges.

  The plan also includes continuing the promotion of Chinese language teaching in Italy and Italian language teaching in China, and exploring the possibility of incorporating Italian into China's examination system in the future. Additionally, both countries will further enhance vocational education cooperation to train high-level professional and technical personnel.
