Suspension Notice Issued as Typhoon Red Alert Remains in Effect

  The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a typhoon red warning at 06:00 on July 25.
  • Typhoon Red Alert

  It is expected that 'Gaemi' will move towards the northwest at a speed of 10-15 kilometers per hour and will make landfall along the coast from Xiuyu to Lianjiang in Fujian Province this afternoon to night (typhoon or strong typhoon level, 12-14, 35-45 meters per second). After passing through Fujian, it will enter the inland and gradually turn towards the north, with its intensity gradually weakening.

  From 08:00 on July 25 to 08:00 on July 26, there were heavy to rainstorm in southern Zhejiang, most of Fujian, eastern Guangdong, Taiwan Island and other places. Among them, there were heavy rainstorm in parts of southeastern Zhejiang, eastern Fujian, southeastern Guangdong, Taiwan Island and other places, and there were extremely heavy rainstorm (250-500mm) in Taiwan Island and northeastern Fujian.

  • Notice of "Three Suspensions and One Rest"

  From 1:00 PM on July 25 to 1:00 PM on July 26, Quanzhou City in Fujian Province will implement comprehensive "Three Suspensions and One Rest" measures. This includes the suspension of work, production, classes, and market activities. Exceptions are made for emergency units for typhoon and heavy rain response, essential public services (such as water, electricity, gas, communications, and medical services), life services (such as supermarkets providing daily necessities), and enterprises requiring continuous production to maintain basic operations.

  • Two dead, 201 jnjured

  It is reported that the data released by the local disaster response center in Taiwan on the evening of the 24th showed that the strong wind and rainstorm caused by the strong typhoon "Gaemi" had so far caused 2 deaths and 201 injuries in Taiwan.
