Shanghai Airports Announce New, Shorter Check-In Times!
Pic irrelevant to text
Frequent flyers are well aware of the necessity to arrive at the airport at least an hour before departure. This is because flights have a strict cutoff time for check-in, known as the check-in closure time. This period marks the deadline by which passengers must complete all check-in and baggage drop procedures. After this time, no further check-in processes will be handled.
The check-in closure time is critical as it allows the airline to complete over ten essential tasks to ensure the flight's readiness. For international flights, passengers need additional time for document verification, which tends to be longer due to the greater number of checked baggage and other requirements.
