Recently, the Baiyun Border Inspection Station of the Guangzhou Border Control General Station intercepted four cases involving altered travel documents used for entry and exit.
In accordance with Article 71 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the station confiscated the altered documents and imposed a fine of RMB 2000 on each individual. Foreign travelers using altered documents for entry were deported and banned from re-entry for one year.
