In 2016, he enrolled in Yiwu's medical insurance program for foreigners, enjoying the same healthcare benefits as local residents.   According to the Yiwu Medical Insurance Bureau, as of now, 7,979 foreigners from 120 countries are enrolled in Yiwu's basic medical and maternity insurance, the highest number of foreign enrollees in Zhejiang Province.

  Foreign children who have obtained enrollment in primary and secondary schools in Yiwu City can also participate in Yiwu City's basic medical insurance and major illness insurance, and their benefits and reimbursement rates are the same as those of local urban and rural residents.

  Foreign residents in Yiwu are entitled to the same basic medical and maternity insurance benefits as local residents. After enrolling, they can receive reimbursements for hospitalizations, regular outpatient visits, and chronic disease treatments. Funds are also allocated to personal accounts for covering out-of-pocket medical expenses.

  Since the establishment of the Yiwu Medical Insurance Bureau in 2019, a total of 65400 foreign personnel who participated in the insurance in Yiwu were reimbursed and settled, including 15,900 purchases at pharmacies, 48,500 regular outpatient visits, 294 chronic disease outpatient visits, 114 special disease outpatient visits, and 702 hospitalizations. The total expenditure from the medical insurance fund has reached 12.48 million yuan.
