China-North Korea Visa Exemption Agreement Effective July 26

  The China North Korea visa exemption agreement will come into effect on July 26.

  Citizens of the People's Republic of China holding valid ordinary diplomatic, service or official passports of the People's Republic of China and citizens of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea holding valid Democratic People's Republic of Korea diplomatic passports, service passports or passports (for official travel) shall be exempted from the requirement to apply for visas for the purpose of entry into, exit from or transit through the territory of the other party to the agreement for a period of not more than 30 days from the date of their entry into the territory of the other party. If they stay in the territory of the other contracting party for more than 30 days, they shall apply for a residence permit; if they stay in the territory of the other contracting party for more than 30 days or engage in activities such as work, study, settlement or journalism, they shall apply for a visa before entering the territory of the other contracting party.
