The National Immigration Administration announced today that, effective immediately, Zhengzhou Airport in Henan will implement a 144-hour visa-free transit policy. This policy allows for a stay within the administrative boundaries of Henan Province.
Additionally, the 144-hour visa-free transit policy in Yunnan Province has been expanded from Kunming City to include nine administrative regions: Kunming, Lijiang, Yuxi, Pu'er, Chuxiong, Dali, Xishuangbanna, Honghe, and Wenshan.

The policy will now apply to three new entry points: Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, and Mohan Railway Port.

As of now, the National Immigration Administration has implemented the 144-hour visa-free transit policy at 37 ports across various locations including Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Shenyang, Dalian, Shanghai, Nanjing, Lianyungang, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jieyang, Qingdao, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Xiamen, Wuhan, and Kunming, Lijiang, and Xishuangbanna in Yunnan Province.

Citizens from 54 countries, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, holding valid international travel documents and confirmed connecting flight tickets with dates and seats within 144 hours, can transit through the newly designated ports to a third country (or region) without a visa. They are permitted to stay for up to 144 hours in the specified areas. During their stay, they may engage in short-term activities such as tourism, business, visits, and family reunions. For those countries that have mutual visa exemption agreements with China or benefit from China's unilateral visa-free policy, the specific conditions of those agreements or policies will apply.
