From January to June, immigration authorities in China processed 287 million entries and exits, representing a 70.9% year-over-year increase.
The national immigration administration attributed 137 million entries and exits to mainland residents, 121 million to residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and 29.22 million to expatriates: National immigration administration.
Through a variety of ports, 14.635 million foreign nationals entered the country during the first half of the year, representing a 152.7% year-over-year increase.
Within this group, 8.542 million individuals entered without a visa, which accounted for 52% of the total and represented a 190.1% increase from the previous year.
The administration anticipates that the number of foreign nationals entering China will continue to rise in the latter half of the year.
