Shanghai Reports 1 New Coronavirus Case, Bringing Total to 337

On Thursday morning, the Shanghai Health Commission confirmed one new coronavirus (COVID-19) case. The number of cases in Shanghai now stands at 337, Shine reports. 


The patient is from Hubei province but lives Shanghai's Jinshan district. He visited family in Suizhou (located in northern Hubei), from January 17 until January 26, when he returned to Shanghai. He went to the hospital on February 25.


Of the 337 patients in Shanghai, 46 are in stable condition, three are in serious condition and nine are in critical condition. So far, 276 people have fully recovered and been discharged and three people have died.

Doctors in Shanghai are currently testing 60 patients who are suspected of having the coronavirus. 


The death toll from the coronavirus now stands at 2,747, with over 78,630 confirmed cases reported in China.
