Counting Criteria Changed
Since yesterday; those who were previously termed clinically diagnosed, or those confirmed through CT scans and symptoms, will now fall under the suspected category. They will no longer be counted as confirmed cases like they were in the previous diagnosis protocol. This was due to a large number of patients who were earlier counted as "clinically diagnosed" and later turned to be negative. The counting criteria recent change resulted in data adjustment in the confirmed/suspected figures between Feb 19 to 21.

Will the Virus Co-exist With Humans for a Long Time?
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is likely to turn into a flu-like chronic illness, co-existing with human beings, says Wang Chen, a respiratory expert and president of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.

More than 600 Covid-19 infections were confirmed among passengers and crew aboard the Diamond Princess, the ship quarantined for two weeks in Yokohama, Japan.
