Nov 27: Swim Deep

Birmingham (the English one) band Swim Deep combine a variety of influences that dip into genres like dream pop, shoegaze and indie rock to create songs that are hard to pin down, but easy to listen to. Their third album, Emerald Classic, dropped in October sees the band sounding as good as they ever have, according to NME.

Nov 28: Cintia Lund

We caught Cintia Lund at the latest Sofar Sounds in Shanghai and were super impressed by her poise and singing voice. Shell be playing a few other gigs around Shanghai in the coming weeks, the first of which is set to take place at Yuyintang. Catch the Spanish/Swedish singer songwriter this Thursday night.

Nov 28: Mindreading Magician Max Maven

Max Maven, one of the world's top mindreading magicians, has performed mysterious shows that transcend linguistic and cultural boundaries in over two dozen countries. Max has worked with the likes of David Copperfield and Siegfried and Roy and acted on more than a hundred television shows about mindreading magic.

With music spanning a multitude of genres, but best described as a little bit funky, a little bit fresh and a little bit futuristic (or the 3 Fs as we like to call them), Japanese producer StarRo has built a strong global fanbase for his vibey music.

Nov 29: Birdstriking 10-Year Anniversary

Legends of the game, Birdstriking, make a return to Shanghai in collaboration with M-Lab. They will be chopping it up with Rubur at Lofas this weekend to celebrate their 10-Year Anniversary. They also have a new single release to celebrate their decade of life.

Nov 30: W-inds


Japanese pop boy band W-inds is headed to Shanghai on November 30. The group is made up of lead singer Ryohei Chiba and backup singers/rappers Keita Tachibana and Ryuichi Ogata. The band formed after each member passed dance auditions to join the group. The trio was then signed to Vision Factory's esteemed label in 2000. The group promptly moved to Tokyo and started garnering attention by giving street performances in Yoyogi Park and Shibuya.

Dec 1: Tokyo Shoegazer

Legendary Japanese shoegaze rock band Tokyo Shoegazer are joined by one of the best young bands in China today, Default. Tokyo Shoegazer went on a seemingly endless hiatus for five years before announcing their return at the beginning of this year, much to the delight of their fans in China and around the world.
