The dedicated journey of food delivery man Mr. Gao has become an online sensation after climbing thousands of steps up to Mount Tai to deliver his order.
Mount Tai is a mountain of historical and cultural significance located in Shandong province. After hearing about his story, netizens rushed to share their support of the young man: His spirit cant be broken, one said. Give this man a medal!
For reference, a flight of 7,200 total steps (including inner temple steps), with 6,293 Official Mountain Walkway Steps, lead up the East Peak of Mount Tai.
Mr. Gao was carrying a fruit basket ordered by the Hongmen Palace of Mount Tai for their blessing ritual.
Although Mr. Gao did not intend to follow through with this unusual order at first, he eventually decided to help the temple and get some exercise while he was at it.
