In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC)s founding, Beijing held a grand ceremony yesterday, October 1st, with a large-scale show of force using military troops and machinery at Tiananmen Square.
In total: 100,000 soldiers and 70 sets of flower-festooned floats formed 36 formations, lasting exactly 65 minutes.
This parade showcases China's achievements in building its national defense and armed forces over the past 70 years and reflects the outcomes of the reform of the People's Liberation Army.
The highlights from yesterdays celebrations are breathtaking.
Troops were composed of 15 foot troops, 32 equipment troops and 12 air echelons, who passed through Tiananmen Square, carefully and proudly watched by nearby observers and the motherland.
Very neat and quite powerful.
The Dongfeng-41 intercontinental strategic nuclear missiles stole the show as the final appearance of the Equipment team, introducing the country's most advanced and powerful deterrent to the world.
As Chinese nationals watched in Beijing or anywhere else around the country and the world, many struggled to withhold their tears, feeling immense pride and joy for how far China has gone over the years.
For the detailed individuals watching the parade, they noticed that the license plates of the cars driving along the parade were showing VA01949 and VA02019 to celebrate 70 years of strength and growth.
