Have you noticed that mid-autumn festival is coming?
It is on September 13th this year, which is less than 2 weeks after today! Excitingly, we will enjoy a three-day holiday from September 13th to September 15th.
Let me brief you about some essential information if you are yet unfamiliar with the coming festival.
Mid-Autumn Festival is considered the second most important festival celebrated in China next to the Lunar New Year. The festival is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, namely when the moon is full. The full moon symbolizes reunion, harmony and happiness in China.
During the festival, Chinese people usually have reunion dinners together with their families. After dinner, they eat mooncakes as well as admire lanterns and the full moon.
To celebrate such a big festival, we are going to hold a party on September 6th. During the party, you will get a chance to experience diverse Chinese traditions, such as riddle guessing, Chinese calligraphy, and Han Chinese clothing cosplay! Fancy gifts are also prepared for you!
