A survey conducted by polling organizations have asked the following question:
If you were to earn RMB 2,000/day to work through the holiday, but would have to work overtime for seven days, what would you choose?
Nearly 30,000 people voted, and 97% of people chose the option to work overtime!
RMB 2,000 per day, in seven days that would amount to RMB 14,000. Not bad! Why fight against money? Haha

But in reality, how much can you really get paid for working overtime through this upcoming holiday?
The General Office of the State Council has released a bit more detailed information on holiday arrangements and what they mean for work:
National Day 2019: 7 days from Oct 1 to Oct 7, but in fact, October 1-3 is the actual holiday.
If staff decide to work through the holiday between October 1st and 3rd, their company should pay them three times their daily wage based on the previous salary month.
From October 4-7, if staff decide to continue working, the company should pay them twice their salary.
